A couple of weeks ago I had the chance to sneak away for a few days at one of my favorite places – Christ in the Desert Monastery in New Mexico.  I’ve never found a better place for prayer, solitude, silence and the rugged beauty of the mountain desert.

My timing was perfect!  Wildflowers in bloom, some of the trees just beginning their fall colors, passing rain and clouds.  Brilliant views!
